LG Brings Powerful Visual Experience to Masses with VR for G3 Giveaway
ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., March 31, 2015 – LG Electronics is offering a free Virtual Reality (VR) headset to consumers who purchase new LG G3 smartphones at participating stores in the United States. LG’s VR for G3 enables LG G3 owners to experience a variety of VR-compatible apps and games that are available for download on Google Play.
The promotion will be available through participating stores nationwide with the purchase of a new LG G3. In addition to the free VR unit (while supplies last), the offer also includes an in-box QR code that unlocks a free download of select VR gaming content. Consumers are also encouraged to enter to win an LG VR headset through LG’s Facebook page by commenting on the designated image. Entries must be received by Monday, April 13 at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
VR for G3 takes advantage of the G3’s Quad HD display to create an immersive VR experience. The LG G3’s class-leading Quad HD display provides users with more pixels per inch creating sharper image quality for a more realistic VR experience.
VR for G3 works with Google Cardboard, and requires no assembly. Simply insert the phone into the headset and begin enjoying content almost immediately. The magnetic gyroscope sensor in the G3 allows users to select applications and scroll through menus without touching the display.
